A Beautiful Day at Kailua Bay




The moon rises over Hualalai Tuesday afternoon. A storm brought wind that blew the clouds away from the mountain. We've had funky weather all week. Rain, wind, clouds, unusually clear skies, weird rainbows, big surf and beautiful sunsets.

Magical day, glorious day, beautiful day - you better get a thesaurus before you run out of adjectives!

But in Hawaii, those descriptions about Mother Nature are appropriate.

Yeah, I realize I need to get more creative with my headings. Sorry I am not a professional newspaper editor like you. And when you live in Hawaii, it's easy to talk about how beautiful the day was.

It is zero here today. No, you did not read that wrong. It is 0 degrees out. I don't mind the adjectives glorious or beautiful because it will be a few more long months before I can use them about Maine!
